About Us
Shadows of Hope is an international humanitarian movement operating in some of the most conflict laden parts of the world including the Middle East, Central and South East Asia, and Africa. Our core of permanent staff and rotating volunteers work with indigenous groups as much as possible, in order to provide versatile medical care, education and defence and co-ordinate aid in difficult and inaccessible situations.
Beyond the provision of immediate help, the crux of our work involves investing in local leaders, students and communities to create a sustainable future. Our members have varying talents and qualifications that they are able to employ efficiently and creatively to solve diverse problems whilst fostering independence and self-sufficiency in communities that have been devastated physically and mentally by ongoing conflict. Versatility in meeting numerous challenges and filling varying roles is the key to our success in difficult and demanding environments.
